Apple Strudel Cake


Apple Strudel Cake
  • 1-16 ounce Pound Cake Mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 chopped Granny Smith apple
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 48 ounce Milkhouse Creamery crock with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Combine cake mix, eggs, cinnamon, buttermilk and vanilla in a large mixer bowl. Beat with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Fold in chopped apple and pecans. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 60 – 65 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  3. Cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely. Slice and serve with sweetened whipped cream or cinnamon ice cream if desired.
