Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pear, peeled and grated
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ pear, cored and sliced for garnish (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray a Milkhouse Loaf crock with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Beat the eggs, oil, and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and grated pear.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and walnuts. Add to egg mixture, stirring to moisten. Spoon into prepared pan. Arrange pear slices on top.
  4. Bake 50-60 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
  5. Slice and serve.
