Fall Apples are Abundant!


It is that time of year, and you are going to want to use everyone of those delicious, juicy apples. What a great bonus that you are able to reuse those great Milkhouse Crocks in the same project. Whether you are preparing dessert for a quiet evening by yourself or a autumn dinner party for family and friends, this recipe will easily adapt. Mix your apple varieties as you wish to create your signature dessert.

Individual Apple Strudel
This is a great way to use those delicious fall apples, if you have a little or a lot.

  • For Each Serving:
  • ½ Granny Smith Apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Sweetened whipped cream
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Lightly spray a 6 ounce Milkhouse Creamery Crock with nonstick cooking spray. Place chopped apples in crock. In a small bowl place the brown sugar, butter, flour and cinnamon. Combine with a fork until small crumbs form. Place mixture over apples. Place on baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Place on rack to cool.
  3. Top each serving with sweetened whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
